As described for Robustagramma altifrons except as follows.

Body length 1.0– 1.5 mm, without vittae on scutum. Face, gena and antenna brown. Interfrontal bristles in 3 pairs (occasionally in 4 pairs) in addition to interfrontal setulae. Postocellar bristles absent or weak. Eye height ca. 1.8–1.9 times genal height. Arista slightly longer than head height.

Length of second costal sector of wing ca. 0.41–0.43X length of third. Discal cell with a stump vein CuA 1, ca. 1–2 vein widths long. Mid tibia of male with an apicoventral and several short, stout ventral bristles on distal third; corresponding femur with 3 or 4 ventral proximal bristles.

Male terminalia: Sternite 5 with 3 pairs of short, stout bristles on borderline. Dorsomedial length of epandrium ca. 0.3X length of sternite 8. Surstylus mostly setose; distal portion tapering in lateral view and incurved in posterior view.

Female terminalia: Tergite 10 with two small bristles and several small setulae near central area. Sternite 7 longer than sternite 6, rounded posteromedially.
