Dorsum reddish-brown, vertex with anterior and basal margins and central longitudinal line black. Female genitalia. Hind margin of seventh sternite with median projection having concavity in middle. Length. Female 5.30mm.

Type material examined. MYANMAR: syntype, ♂ P. mudonensis : ‘ Penthimia mudonensis Dist. type [hw]’, ‘Mudon, Amhirst Dist., Tenasserim, 8.iii.1908. N.A.’ ‘5725/19’ (ZSI).

Other material examined. MYANMAR: 1♀, Yadashe, 10.iii.1918, A.G.R. Coll. R-8239. ( NPC). Remarks. This species was described from an unknown number of specimens (syntypic) with the following data: ‘ Tenasserim; Mudon-Amherst Distr. (Annandale, Ind. Mus.).’ The syntype male in ZSI has the head slightly damaged.

This species can be distinguished by its overall pale coloration with black markings on the head and by the shape of the posterior margin of female sternite VII ( Figs 25 View FIGURES 14–26 , 55).
