Gibbovalva Kumata & Kuroko, 1988b: 3 View in CoL . Type species: Gracilaria quadrifasciata Stainton, 1862 .

The genus Gibbovalva View in CoL , comprising 10 species, is distributed in Asia, Australia and 2 species are known from Sub-Saharan Africa. Here we used the following characters as diagnostic for Gibbovalva View in CoL : (1) antennal scape with flap of scales; (2) valva with costal process; (3) corpus bursae usually without signum.
