The species was described from Eastern Kazakhstan. Widely distributed in the Central and Eastern Palaearctic, there are many findings in Western Siberia, the Altai, the Western Sayan, Tuva, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Far East ( Medvedev et al., 1991; Polkanov, Medvedev, 1997; Orlova et al., 2013; Orlova et al., 2014; own data). Apparently, as the previous species, oligoxenous of the Myotis petax , since most of the findings were made on this bat.
