The genus Gripopteryx View in CoL is represented by 17 described species, of which three are recorded from the Serra Bonita region, G. clemira View in CoL , G. garbei View in CoL and G. pinima ( Lecci & Froehlich 2011) View in CoL . Our collections have added G. cancellata View in CoL to this region of Brazil. Gripopteryx View in CoL has a distribution that includes the highlands of central and eastern Brazil to northeastern Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay ( Froehlich 1993, Stark et al. 2009, Lecci & Froehlich 2011).
