Type material: Meioneta regina Chamberlin & Ivie 1944 , Ƥ HOLOTYPE from Georgia: 3 miles SE of Savannah, W 81º4’:N 32º4’, April 8, 1943, W. Ivie collector ( AMNH). EXAMINED.

Diagnosis: Males are diagnosed from all other species by their large footh-shaped dorsal cymbial tubercle and triangular ventral cymbial tubercle ( Fig. 347 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Females are diagnosed from all other Agyneta by their broad median part of scape ( Fig. 352 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ).

Description: Male: Total length 1.52; carapace length 0.69, width 0.51.

CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace light orange-brown, shiny, finely reticulate; suffused with gray margin and radiating lines; sometimes with trident mark. Sternum suffused with gray, darker along margins. Clypeus height 2. Chelicerae light orange-brown; not excavated; seta-tipped tubercles absent; promargin five denticles, retromargin four tiny denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ ~16 striae, well spaced throughout. ABDOMEN: Uniformly light gray. LEGS: Light yellow-brown; leg I total length: 2.76; leg III total length: 1.82; Tm I: 0.22; Tm IV: absent. GENITALIA: Palpal retrolateral tibial apophysis long, rugose; dorsal tibial apophysis wide, rounded and smooth; two retrolateral trichobothria and one dorsal ( Fig. 346 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Cymbium rounded; glabrous depression present ( Fig. 346 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ); dorsal tubercle wide, squared and rugose; ventral tubercle long, pointed and smooth; prolateral notch shallow ( Fig. 347 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Paracymbium apical pocket short, anterior pocket medium, posterior pocket absent ( Fig. 346 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Embolus tip wide and pointed, with long prong; ventrally rugose; Fickert’s gland absent; ventral lamella absent; thumb reaching the embolus proper tip ( Fig. 348 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Embolus proper set apically, of equal part ( Fig. 348 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Anterior terminal apophysis narrow with medial spine and numerous short protrusions, basally with one elongated spur-like prong and one large, blunt one; terminal apophysis long, tip curved; lamella characteristica elongated with wide serrated tip ( Fig. 349 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ).

Female: Total length 1.83; carapace length 0.66, width 0.52

CEPHALOTHORAX: Same coloration as male. Clypeus height 2. Chelicerae light orange-brown; promargin six teeth, retromargin five denticles. Cheliceral stridulatory organ visible ~13 striae, well spaced throughout. ABDOMEN: Uniformly light gray. LEGS: Same as in male; palpal segment darker orange-brown, tarsal claw absent; leg I total length: 2.72; leg III total length: 1.80; Tm I: 0.29, Tm IV: absent. GENITALIA: Epigynum with wide, straight, enlarging proximal part of scape; epigynal slits large and oval; pit hook depression indistinguishable ( Fig. 350 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ); lateral lobes folded ( Fig. 351 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ); stretcher very long; pit deep ( Fig. 353 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Median part of scape extremely wide ( Fig. 352 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ); genital pores situated at base of lateral lobes pockets ( Fig. 353 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ). Internal genitalia with a rounded ventral receptacula and an oval dorsal one ( Figs 352, 353 View FIGURES 346 – 353 ).
