Distribution in Iran: Sistan & Baluchestan ( Gussakovskij 1933), Mazandaran ( de Beaumont 1957), Alborz, Razavi Khorasan ( Pulawski 1971), without exact locality ( Schmidt & Bitsch 2007), Fars ( Rezaei & Fallahzadeh 2015; Sadeghi et al. 2018, current study), West Azerbaijan ( Samin & Bagriacik 2016).
General distribution: Afrotropical ( Burkina Faso, Chad, Ethiopia, Gambia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sudan); Palaearctic ( Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, former Yugoslavia).
Remarks: The subspecies Tachytes panzeri pulverosus (Radoszkowski, 1886) has been recorded from Khuzestan, Razavi Khorasan and Sistan & Baluchestan Provinces ( Pulawski 1971).
