Type material: * Holotype ( BMNH 1960.3.13.23).

Type locality: Indian Ocean , Sri Lanka, Tambalagam Lake, brackish water, 11.0–19.0 ppt, 1.8–7.3 m, in fine black mud in oyster beds .

Records: Only known from the type locality.
