NOTES NOMENCLATURALES

La localité du syntype Balansa 3424 (Mont Humboldt) d’ Uragoga balansae Baill. est différente de celle de la diagnose (Mont Arago).La récolte a été identifiée par Baillon et cette localité est considérée comme une erreur de manuscrit. En l’occurence la part d’herbier Balansa 1120 (P00547140) a été choisie préférentiellement comme lectotype du taxon car présentant tous les stades phénologiques et coïncidant avec la citation du protologue. Par ailleurs, ce taxon est placé comme synonyme de Psychotria saltiensis (S.Moore) Guillaumin , car similaire morphologiquement.

Le nom Psychotria mons-mi Ruhsam est illégitime car il a été créé par Ruhsam et al. (2008) pour placer sous Psychotria , l’espèce initialement décrite sous Uragoga balansae , malgrè l’existence du nom P. saltiensis publié antérieurement ( Moore 1921)et correspondant à cette même espèce.
