Distribution. India: Arunachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu ( Twinkle et al. 2020). Global: Australia, China, Indonesia ( Sumatra, Sulawesi), Japan, Malaysia (Borneo), Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam ( Kononenko & Pinratana 2013).

Type species: Diachrysia orichalcea Fabricius sensu Hübner, [1821] 1816: 252, [= Phalaena chryson Esper, 1789 , pl. 141, fig. 2 (not fig. i as stated in text), by subsequent designation by Dyar (1902): 81, but cited as ‘orichalcea Fab. ’.
