Distribution. India: Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh ( Hacker & Ronkay 1990). Global: Afghanistan, Caucasus, Iran, Nepal, Tajikistan, Turkey ( Hacker & Ronkay 1990, Hreblay & Ronkay, 1998, Ronkay & Ronkay 2009, Shirvani 2012).
Remark: Worldwide four subspecies, C. c. cineracea (TL: Wermuth), C. c. argyllacea Hacker & Ronkay, 1990 (TL: Afghanistan), C. c. cyanogrisea Hacker & Ronkay, 1990 (TL: Kashmir, Ladakh), and C. c. nagyapo Ronkay & Ronkay, 1998 (TL: Nepal).
