Diagnosis. Diaditus semicolon (ca. 11.50 mm) can be recognized by the relatively long convergent juga which are produced forward between the antennae; length of the juga 2/3 that of the first antennal segment; the presence of setigerous tubercles bordering the prosternal sulcus; prosternum with anterior angles pointed; the single biramous setigerous tubercle located on the posterior margin of the head directly behind eye; the 2 small fuscous spots on the connexivum; and the presence of long pilosity on the 2nd antennal segment, located on the entire length of the segment in the males and limited to the distal ¼ in the females and on the distal half of the hind femora in both sexes. The 7th abdominal tergite is deeply emarginated in the male.
Distribution. Originally described from Paraguay and also known from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Uruguay ( Maldonado 1990). The records below all represent new distribution records for this species.
