Anabropsis (Pseudapteranabropsis) flavimaculata View in CoL sp. nov.
AṀDAE
Figure 4 View FIGURE 4
Description. Female. Body large. Fastigium verticis projecting forward, as wide as scape ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ). Ocelli oval, lateral ocelli suited on both sides of fastigium verticis; median ocellus as large as the lateral ocelli. Eyes projecting outwards. Apical segments of maxillary palpi longer than subapical ones, apices slightly swollen ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ).
Disc of pronotum smooth, without longitudinal carina; lateral lobes longer than high without humeral sinus, ventral margin arched ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ). Prosternal lobes with basal areas wide and separated, external margin obliquely straight, internal margin contracted in middle and then terminating into a spine, apices obtuse; mesosternum with 1 pair of processes, basal areas separated, middle area of lateral margins contracted, narrowing to apices, apices obtuse; metasternum with 1 pair of triangular processes, basal areas separated, internal margins slightly constricted, external margins slightly convex, apices obtuse ( Fig. 4D View FIGURE 4 ).
Fore coxae swollen, with 1 sturdy spine, middle coxae with 1 small spine. Ventral surface of fore femora with 1 internal spine, genicular lobes without spines. Ventral surface of middle femora without spines, genicular lobes with 1 internal spine. Ventral surface of hind femora with 11 internal and 1–2 external spines. Dorsal surface of fore tibiae with 1 internal spur and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventral surface with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs; basal areas of tibiae with opened tympana on both sides, the internal one larger than external one ( Fig. 4F–G View FIGURE 4 ). Dorsal surface of middle tibiae with 4 internal spurs and 3 external spurs, ventral surface with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs. Dorsal surface of hind tibiae with 9–10 internal and 10 external spines, and 1 pair of apical spurs; ventral surface with 1 internal and 2 external spines, 1 pair of subapical spurs, apices with 1 pair of long spurs and 1 pair of short spurs.
First to fourth abdominal tergites with fine stridulatory pegs ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ). Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite straight. Cerci conical, apices acute and upcurved ( Fig. 4I View FIGURE 4 ). Basal area of subgenital plate triangular, lateral margins of middle areas contracted and terminating into a short spiniform apical area; basal area about 1.7 times as long as apical spine. Ovipositor upcurved, basal area stout, basal two fifths straight, the other parts upcurved, apices acute, dorsal valvulae significantly longer than the ventral one ( Fig. 4H–I View FIGURE 4 ).
Male. Unknown.
Coloration. Fastigium verticis, disc of pronotum and apices of femora black with yellow spots. Face brown with black spots ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ). Disc of pronotum with large yellow spots on both sides, anterior area with a heart-shaped yellow spot in middle ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ). Ventral surface of thoracic sternites yellow, abdominal tergites with yellow and black spots ( Fig. 4D, K View FIGURE 4 ). Ocelli yellow.
Measurements (mm). Female: BL 35.1, PL 9.1, HTL 30.2, HFL 29.4, OvL 14.4.
Material examined. Holotype: female, Pinglongshan, Fulong, Fangchenggang , Guangxi, August 20, 2022, coll. by Qianwen Zhang and Shan Li.
Distribution. Guangxi (Fangchenggang).
Discussion. The differences between the species and Anabropsis (Pseudapteranabropsis) flavimaculata sp. nov. are as follows: body relatively dark, disc of pronotum with distinct yellow spots, the apical spine of female subgenital plate shorter. And it differs from Anabropsis (Apteranabropsis) shii Lu, Lin, Liu, Liang & Bian, 2022 by disc of pronotum with a small yellow spot, lateral lobes with a larger yellow spot; the apical spine of female subgenital plate shorter.
Etymology. The new species name derives from the pronotum with two distinct yellow spots.
