Anabropsis (Pseudapteranabropsis) nigrimaculatis View in CoL sp. nov.
DZṀDAE
Figure 5 View FIGURE 5
Description. Female. Body medium. Fastigium verticis projecting forward, narrower than scape. Dorsal surface of head with an indistinct longitudinal carina along the midline ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Lateral ocelli ovoid, located on both sides of fastigium verticis; middle ocellus larger than lateral ocelli. Eyes projecting outwards. Apical segments of maxillary palpi longer than subapical ones, apices swollen ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ).
Disc of pronotum smooth, without longitudinal carina; lateral lobes longer than high without humeral sinus, ventral margin arched ( Fig. 5C View FIGURE 5 ). Prosternal lobes with basal areas wide and separated, external margin obliquely straight, internal margin contracted in middle and then terminating into a spine, apices obtuse; mesosternum with 1 pair of processes, basal areas separated, lateral margins of middle aera contracted, terminating into apices, apices obtuse; metasternum with 1 pair of triangular processes, basal areas separated, internal margins slightly constricted, external margins faintly convex, apices obtuse ( Fig. 5D View FIGURE 5 ).
Fore coxae swollen, with 1 relatively stout spine; middle coxae with 1 small spine. Ventral surface of fore femora with 2–3 small internal spines; genicular lobes of middle femora with 1 internal spine; ventral surface of hind femora with 4–5 internal and 3–4 external spines, genicular lobes with 1 internal spine. Dorsal surface of fore tibiae with 1 internal spur and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventral surface with 4 pair of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs; basal areas with opened tympana on both sides, the internal one larger than external one ( Fig. 5F–G View FIGURE 5 ). Middle tibiae dorsally with 3 internal spurs, 2 external spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs; ventral surface with 4 pairs of spurs and 1 pair of apical spurs. Dorsal surface of hind tibiae with 10 pairs of spines and 1 pair of apical spurs; ventral surface with 1 internal and 3 external spines, 1 pair of subapical spurs, apices with 1 pair of long spurs and 1 pair of short spurs.
First to fourth abdominal tergites with fine stridulatory pegs ( Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 ). Posterior margins of eighth and ninth abdominal tergites faintly prolonged backward. Posterior margin of tenth abdominal segment almost straight. Cerci conical, apices acute and upcurved ( Fig. 5I View FIGURE 5 ). Subgenital plate wide at base, basal half triangular, terminating into a long spine with regularly converging margins to acute tip ( Fig. 5J View FIGURE 5 ). Ovipositor upcurved, basal area stout, apical half moderately upcurved, dorsal valvulae significantly longer than the ventral ones, apices acute ( Fig. 5H–J View FIGURE 5 ).
Male. Unknown.
Coloration. Body tawny, with black spots. Maxillary palpi yellowish ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Ocelli yellowish ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 ). Disc of pronotum tawny, with large black spots on both sides, anterior margins of the black spots with a yellowish stripe ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 ). Internal surfaces of hind femora yellowish, the other parts tawny with black spots. Abdominal sternites black brown. Basal fourth of ovipositor black on dorsal surface, ventral surface brown, middle fourth area black, apical half area brick red ( Fig. 5H–J View FIGURE 5 ).
Measurements (mm). Female: BL 25.6–28.5, PL 7.4–7.6, HTL 23.7–24.2, HFL 22.8–23.3, OvL 12.1–12.5.
Material examined. Holotype: female, Gulinjing, Maguan , Yunnan, August 2, 2022, coll. by Xiangyi Lu and Xiaoyu Peng . Paratype: 1 female, the other information as holotype. Other specimen: 1 female, the other information as holotype.
Distribution. Yunnan (Maguan).
Discussion. The new species differs from Anabropsis (Pseudapteranabropsis) nigrimaculatis sp. nov. by darker coloration, disc of pronotum with distinct black spot, constricted part of the subgenital plate longer than the latter.
Etymology. The new species name comes from pronotum with two distinct black spots.
