Diagnostic characters: Vertex with medially curved transverse fascia between the inner margins of eyes. Scutellum usually with dark brown basal triangles, faint brown lateral arcs present on the fronto-clypeus.

Distribution: India: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Elsewhere: Algeria, Arabia, Australia, Bangladesh, Canary Island, Chatham, Chile, China, Ecuador, Ethiopia, European Russia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordon, Kenya, Libya, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Taiwan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Yemen.
