Type material. CHINA: Yunnan Province: Holotype: ♂ (MHBU-ARA-00023861), Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Chuxiong City, Zixi Mountain , 25.0063°N, 101.4333°E, 2172 m a.s.l., 25 June 2022, L. Zhang, W. Wang, M. Xu, & Z. Liu leg. GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition, and refers to the Yi ( Ḇ) people, a main ethnic group living in the type locality.

Diagnosis. The new species resembles Phintella cholkei Prajapati, Kumbhar, Caleb, Sanap & Kamboj, 2021 and P. longapophysis Lei & Peng, 2013 in the long RTA and short embolus. It can be distinguished from P. cholkei by RL not elongated ( Figs 118, 120 View FIGURES 116–120 ; vs. RL elongated in P. cholkei , see Prajapati et al. 2021: 234, figs 16–17); the distinctly bent tip of RTA ( Figs 118, 120 View FIGURES 116–120 ; vs. weakly bent in P. cholkei , see Prajapati et al. 2021: 234, figs 16–17). It differs from P. longapophysis by the embolus (left palp) pointing to 10 o'clock in ventral view ( Figs 118, 120 View FIGURES 116–120 ; vs. pointing to 1 o'clock in P. longapophysis , see Lei & Peng 2013: 101, figs 2a–b); the RTA being nearly perpendicular to the cymbium ( Figs 116, 118, 120 View FIGURES 116–120 ; vs. RTA and cymbium at acute angle in P. longapophysis , see Lei & Peng 2013: 101, figs 2a–b).

Description. Male. Habitus as in Figs 111–112 View FIGURES 111–115 . Measurements of holotype: carapace 1.55 long, 1.38 wide; opisthosoma 1.75 long, 1.11 wide; eyes: AME 0.37, ALE 0.19, PME 0.09, PLE 0.16; legs: Ⅰ 2.95 (0.89, 0.45, 0.73, 0.46, 0.42), II 2.46 (0.72, 0.37, 0.53, 0.44, 0.40), III 2.94 (0.87, 0.38, 0.59, 0.58, 0.52), IV 3.35 (1.06, 0.38, 0.71, 0.71, 0.49); leg formula 4132. Carapace brown, with white lateral margins ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 111–115 ). Chelicerae brown, with two promarginal teeth and one retromarginal tooth, front with white scales and a bump ( Figs 114–115 View FIGURES 111–115 ). Opisthosoma yellow, covered with white scales except black median band dorsally and a black venter ( Fig. 111 View FIGURES 111–115 ). Legs yellow, expect black femur Ⅰ and tibia Ⅰ ( Fig. 113 View FIGURES 111–115 ).
