Agnosthaetus nunni View in CoL species-group
This species group includes Agnosthaetus nunni Clarke , Agnosthaetus carnelius Clarke , Agnosthaetus enigmus Clarke , and Agnosthaetus affinis Clarke , which share similar aedeagi ( Figs. 180–187 View Figs View Figs ), and which: 1) have distinct microsculpture on at least the head (at least anterior to the dorsal tentorial sulci); 2) lack any minor carinae in the area between the sublongitudinal ridge and the antenno-ocular carina of the head ( Fig. 10 View Figs , ao, sr); and 3) have only a single elytral ridge ( Fig. 24 View Figs , ek). Males of all four species can be distinguished by the labral teeth characters ( Figs. 177–179 View Figs ), the first three of which uniquely have a medial, dorsally deflected tooth at the labral apex (cf. A. aequalis : anteriorly projecting medial tooth: Fig. 115 View Figs ).
