Agnosthaetus vicinus View in CoL species-group

This species-group contains only A. vicinus . It is one of the largest and most distinctive species of Agnosthaetus ( Fig. 7 View Figs ), and can be distinguished from all other known species by the additional pronotal macroseta alone ( Fig. 75 View Figs , lp; or setal puncture if seta absent), but also by the combination of lack of microsculpture from the dorsal surfaces of the head and thorax (except faintly, anterior to the dorsal tentorial sulci), faintly impressed medial pronotal sulcus ( Fig. 75 View Figs ) that is separate from both the anterior pronotal puncture and basal fovea (the latter of which is essentially absent, being reduced to at most small dots), two distinct lateral elytral ridges ( Fig. 87 View Figs , ek, mr), and metathoracic pleural ridge present ( Fig. 87 View Figs , mp).
