Parish records (n = 118): Acadia, Avoyelles, Bossier, Catahoula, DeSoto, East Baton Rouge, Grant, Iberville, Jackson, Lafayette, Natchitoches, St. Landry, St. Tammany, Vernon, Washington, Webster, and Winn Parishes (LSAM, MEM, TAMU, USNM).
Potential larval hosts in Louisiana: Betula nigra L., Carya glabra (Mill.) Sweet , Carya illinoinensis , Carya ovata (Mill.) K. Koch , Carya tomentosa (Lam.) Nutt. , Celtis occidentalis L., Cercis canadensis , Crataegus viridis L., Gleditsia triacanthos , Juglans nigra , Ostrya virginiana , Quercus alba , Salix sp. , Ulmus crassifolia Nutt. , and Ulmus rubra Muhl. Adults reported also on Juniperus virginiana L., Quercus velutina Lam. , Sapindus saponaria L., and Taxodium distichum .
Collection date range: 8 March–9 September, mostly during April (n = 84) and May (n = 25).
Comments: Collected by hand, beating, using flight intercept, Lindgren funnel, Malaise, and sticky traps, sweeping ‘ Aster sp. ,’ and as C. fumipennis prey.
