Redescription (Fig. 23). Male. Body length 3.0– 3.2mm. Arista densely plumose along much of length, becoming sparsely plumose apically. Setae brown. Ocellar seta thin, slightly longer than ocellar tubercle. Presutural intra-alar seta absent. Two dorsocentral setae. Acrostichal seta absent. One long lateral scutellar seta. Head yellow with large dark spot on outer surface of first flagellomere at base of arista, ocellar tubercle brown with spot continuing onto back of head dorsomedially, and occiput, gena and parafacial light yellow to whitish; gena shining. Scutum yellow with medial stripe that tapers apically, ending in presutural scutum medially; one pair of irregular, floating lateromedial spots behind suture. Scutellum brown with lateral corner yellow; metanotum dark yellow, becoming browner towards katatergite. Pleuron light yellow to yellow with proepisternum, anepisternum (excluding small region adjacent to spiracle) and anepimeron brown. Legs light yellow with fore tibia and tarsus brown. Halter entirely white. Wing clear with first radial cell lightly clouded. M1+2 ratio 2.8–3.7. Abdomen dark brown with annulus and epandrium slightly paler and reddish.
Female. Unknown.
Male terminalia. ( Sasakawa 2011: figs 6–8) Surstylus approximately half height of epandrium, subtriangular with apex rounded and apical and posterior inner margins with row of tubercle-like setae. Cerci small, rounded. Hypandrium with two large medial setae. Pregonite small and subrectangular with several basal setulae. Basiphallus well-developed and epiphallus indistinct. Distiphallus approximately 5/7 length of phallapodeme; paraphallus well-developed, rod-like (thumb missing) and minutely haired.
