Torremiroella hispanica Brun & Canerot ( Fig. 14 e-h)

Schlagintweit et al. (2013a) identified this foraminifer in central Iran; its presence in the Kopet Dagh basin is documented for the first time in this study, a report that does not influence its paleogeographical significance. Its cooccurrence with Balkhania balkhanica and Kopetdagaria sphaerica is highly expected (see Schlagintweit et al., 2013a). From a paleogeographic perspective, the Kopet Dagh basin is integrated in the Carpathian-Cimmerian province (Taherpour Khalil Abad et al., 2013).
