Diagnosis: Pygofer rounded, with long and narrow dorso-lateral lobes ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ). Subgenital plate short, rounded apically in ventral view, stout hook like processes from inner dorsal margin directed dorso laterally, uniserate stout macrosetae laterally and across plate subapically ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ). Style long and slender, bilobed anteriorly, apophysis long with truncate apex, preapical lobe reduced. Connective large, Y-shaped with stem longer than arms; articulated with aedeagus. Aedeagus simple, curved dorsally, with apical gonopore, dorsal apodeme well developed ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ).

Remarks: This species is identified based on the descriptions of Linnavuori (1953) and Khatri & Webb (2010). This species was previously recorded from Egypt, Ethiopia, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran Saudi Arabia, and Somalia ( Matsumura, 1908; Dlabola, 1979; Metcalf, 1967; Heller & Linnavuori, 1968; Nast, 1972; Khatri & Webb, 2010; Pakarpour Rayeni et al., 2015; Mozaffarian and Wilson, 2016). The genus and species are here recorded from India for the first time.
