Supplementary description. Male ( Fig. 5A View FIGURE 5 , 6A View FIGURE 6 ). Aedeagus ( Figs 7 View FIGURE 7 C–E), nearly symmetrical, abdominal ventrite VIII ( Fig. 7G View FIGURE 7 ) deeply split medially at posterior margin and with long dense hair at hind margin. Spiculum gastrale ( Fig. 7F View FIGURE 7 ) not symmetrical, short, with large apical lobes.

Female ( Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 , 6B View FIGURE 6 ) similar to males. Ventrite VIII ( Fig. 7H View FIGURE 7 ) slightly split medially at posterior margin and covered with long dense hairs. spiculum ( Fig. 7H View FIGURE 7 ) tortuous near straight, apex rounded and slightly dilated. Apex of ovipositor ( Fig. 7I View FIGURE 7 ) with one long hair and two pairs of much shorter hairs.

Distribution. Myanmar, China: Yunnan.

Remarks. Hexarhopalus (H.) sculptilis Kaszab, 1960 was originally described from Myanmar and recorded from Yunnan, China by Ren and Xu, 2011. All studies lack description of the genital characters. We hereby provide the supplementary descriptions with genital characters. Furthermore, the Chinese specimens display two color types: bicolourable legs with dark brown body ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ) and concordant black body ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). However, they were collected from the same location and possessed the same type of the genitalia.
