The species has been reported from Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina ( Metcalf 1963c; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2007a). Jacobi (1907) lists specimens collected at Bogotà, Fusagasuga and Cauca- Tal.
