The IRCW has a female from Caucasia, California. The species was incorrectly synonymized to Z. calochroma ( Metcalf 1963a) but was elevated again to a valid species ( Duffels and van der Laan 1985) and is a valid taxon ( Sanborn 2007b). The species has been recorded previously from Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama ( Metcalf 1963a; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2006a,b, 2007b).

Material examined. “ COLOMBIA: Caucasia , California, 31-VII-1971 ” (one female, IRCW) .
