Ophryodendron sp.
Record on halacarid mite: Several specimens of Copidognathus tricorneatus ( Viets, 1938) collected from eastern Аustralia near Sydney between corals and sponges were infested with the suctorian Ophryodendron sp. The suctorians were observed predominantly on legs but also on idiosoma of mites ( Viets 1938).
Remarks: Viets (1938) did not include the description and figures from found suctorian specimens. Thus, it is impossible to determine what representative species of the family Ophryodendridae was found. It is quite possible that the suctorian specimens represent the genus Corethria.
