C. nebulosa ( Draudt, 1924) View in CoL , reinstated status

( Figs. 15–16 View FIGURES 9 – 16 , 22 View FIGURES 17 – 23 , 26 View FIGURE 26 d, 27 part, 28 part)

Valvae of the C. littera lectotype ( Figs. 26 View FIGURE 26 a, g, 27) exhibit ampulla sharply rising dorsad to surpass the level of cucullus dorsal tip. C. littera cucullus bends dorsad without prominent distal expansion or bulge and narrows gradually towards its caudal end pointing dorsad and forming a small, stronger sclerotized, granular and serrated tip. C. nebulosa , currently known only from a single specimen, the holotype from Bolivia: Rio Songo (750 m), in SMF collection, differs in the ampulla-costa being mostly straight and lower than the tip of cucullus ( Fig. 26 View FIGURE 26 d), but the cucullus is not distally expanded and is more similar to that of C. littera . In wing pattern, C. nebulosa is paler, hindwing marked with a defined discal pale area, very prominent on ventral side, veins ventrally are almost without dark scales in the discal band. U-shaped pale spots in forewing discal and Cu1-Cu2 cells are broken basad into 2 streaks each, basal edge of forewing discal cell streaks is perpendicular to the costa. These differences in genitalia and wing patterns suggest species status of this taxon, as proposed in the original description ( Draudt 1924).
