Munida nuda Benedict, 1902

Munida nuda has been reported from the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico in depths of 68 to 346 m ( Benedict 1902; Chace 1942). We analyzed specimens collected in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean in depths of 250 to 630 m, which is a bathymetric extension. Specimens were collected in March and June; ovigerous specimens were collected in June ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 D). Four males (CW from 2.4 to 6.0 mm) and three non-ovigerous females were measured (CW from 2.9 to 3.9 mm); only two ovigerous females were in the collection for M. nuda and neither was in condition to be measured.
