Ecology. On Acropora palmata .

Distribution. Costa Rica, Guadeloupe, Mexico, Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, St. Martin / St. Maarten, Venezuela (Archipielago de Los Roques: Marcus & Marcus 1967a; Work 1969; Ortea et al. 1996).

Remarks. Specimens from Dos Mosquises, Los Roques ( Venezuela) were used in the original description of this species, where the type locality was not specified. Venezuela is the southern limit of the distribution of this species.
