Genus Pseudodiloma Cossmann, 1888 †
Type species. Trochus mirabilis Deshayes, 1863 View in CoL , OD ( Cossmann 1888: 69), Eocene, France.
Diagnosis. Small, sigaretiform shells with convex teleoconch whorls with periphery in abapical third of whorls. Umbilicus wide, partly hidden by inner lip, with broad umbilical atrium. Sculpture of tiny beads arranged in Fibonacci sequences (see Cossmann 1918 for a detailed description).
Remarks. A monospecific genus, which is well defined by its peculiar sculpture; restricted to the middle Eocene of the NE Atlantic.
