Gnaphalium gallicum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 857. 1753, nom. inval.

“Habitat in Anglia, Gallia.” RCN: 6708.

Type not relevant.

Current name: Filago gallica L. (Asteraceae).

Note: Linnaeus transferred this to Filago gallica [“gallicum”] in the Addenda to his Species Plantarum (1753: 1230). Gnaphalium gallicum is consequently invalid. The associated specimens and cited figures are original elements for F. gallica.
