Forewing length: male 25.5 – 33.5 mm [mean (n = 8) 30.73 mm, SD = 2.142]; female 29.5 – 37.0 mm [mean (n = 7) 32.99 mm, SD = 2.194].

Note: Sometimes referred to as polymorphic (various ‘ forms ’ have been named), this species is individually variable, especially in the extent of upperside maculation. The sexes are similar in overall coloration; in museum material the orange ground colour of the females is slightly less intense.
