Unguis with 4 teeth: paired teeth at 50% of the base, first unpaired tooth at 75 % from the base, dorsal and lateral teeth a little below the internal paired teeth. Unguiculus acuminated, narrow, external lamella smooth. Tenent hair clavate, longer than unguis. Trochanteral organ with about 22 chaetae. Manubrial plate not seen. Mucro bidentate, both teeth of similar size with mucronal basal spine, Mucro of 15 micrometers, apical, smooth part of dens 2.5 times the length mucro.
Macrochaetotaxy. Simplified Mc formula: 3,1,0,2,1a/1,3/2,2/0,0,1/0,2,0,2,2. Head chaetotaxy ( Fig. 34A View FIGURE 34 ) Mac An 2, An 3a1, An 3 and A 5. M 2 and M 4 present as Mc. Sutural row with Mc S 0, S 2, S 3, S 4i, S 4, S 5i S 5. Present Ps 5. Thoracic chaetotaxy of Th II ( Fig. 34B View FIGURE 34 ) T1 area with Mac m 2i, T2 area with Mc a 5, m 4, m 4i. Abdominal chaetotaxy ( Fig. 34C View FIGURE 34 ) of Abd II with a 2, a 3, m 3 and m 3e, on Abd III m 3 Mc present; Abd IV ( Fig. 34D View FIGURE 34 ) with Mc A 2, A 5, A 6, B 5, B 6, and E 1. Sensillary formula usual for Entomobrya . The bothriotricha on Abd IV in position T 2 and T 4 (0110).
Remarks. One specimen only was available but it had a unique colour. The chaetotaxy is similar to E. varia , but the Mc formulae are different, (see Supplementary file and figures). In particular, the presence of m 2i Mc on Th II in E. regina sp. nov. and absence in E. varia and m 1 Mc of Th II present on E. varia and absent in E. regina sp. nov. The labral papillae are smooth in E. regina sp. nov. and multispinate in E. varia . The colour of the new species is unique among all Entomobrya .
