Remark: This monotypic species group was placed within Neocalathus by Ball & Nègre (1972).
Third antennomere without pubescence. Mentum tooth bifid. Pronotal laterobasal seta situated at margin. Lateral bead of prosternal process present. Parascutellar seta present. Elytra glabrous, with two discal setae in the third interval; discal setae absent in the fifth and seventh intervals. Elytral microsculpture nearly isodiametric. Metepisternum not studied. Male protarsomeres dilated. Lateral grooves absent on internal surface, present on external surface of metatarsomeres I-IV. Gonocoxites not studied. Aedeagus left side up in repose; median lobe apical disc absent; apical hook of long paramere absent; membranous lobe of short paramere absent.
