This species is new to the fauna of Uzbekistan.

Conclusions

As a result of the current study, the centipede fauna of Uzbekistan has been supplemented with new taxa: family Schendylidae, genus Escaryus, the species E. retusidens, and Hessebius perelae . The genus Hessebius was added to the fauna of the Tashkent Region, while class Chilopoda, order Geophilomorpha, family Himantariidae, the genus Bothriogaster, and the species B. signata were added to the fauna of the both the Namangan and Andijan Regions. The order Lithobiomorpha, family Henicopidae, genus Cermatobius, and the species C. kirgisicus were recorded from the Namangan Region for the first time.

Thus, the chilopod fauna of Uzbekistan is represented by at least 30 species arranged in 17 genera, 9 families, and 4 orders.

Acknowledgments

I would like to express my sincere gratitude toMuhammadto’ychi Rahimov, Feruz A. Shodmonov (both Samarkand, Uzbekistan), and Roman V. Yakovlev (ASU) for organizing the expedition. I am also deeply thankful to the reviewers for their corrections and critical comments on the manuscript.

References

Bonato, L., Edgecombe, G.D., Lewis, J.G.E., Minelli, A., Pereira, L.A., Shelley, R.M., Zapparoli, M. 2010.
