GenBank: PP 973161 (nrITS), PP 973169 (nLSU) Description: — Pileus 10 – 35 mm in diam, convex to plano-convex, paraboloid to campanulate, slightly umbonate, moist, hygrophanous, light yellow orange (7.5 YR 8 / 3) to yellowish brown center with grayish brown (5 YR 5 / 2) towards margins, appressed pale orange (5 YR 8 / 3) squamules present around umbo, translucently striated, smooth margins. Lamellae adnate, crowded, even margins, lamellulae in 2 tiers, reddish brown (5 YR 3 / 4). Stipe 20 – 40 × 3 – 5 mm, central, flexuous, white (2.5 R 9 / 2) with recurved squamulose caespitose base. Annulus white (2.5 R 9 / 2), wavy to upturned with appendiculate margins. Odor and taste not recorded. Basidiospores [160 / 4 / 3], (5.0 –) 5.4 – 5.7 (– 6.1) × (3.0 –) 3.3 – 3.7 (– 4.0) µm, (avL × avW = 5.55 × 3.5 µm) Q = 1.3 – 1.7, Q av = 1.58, ellipsoid to elongate, brown in water, thick-walled (0.18 – 0.21 µm), smooth, presence of apiculus. Basidia (13 –) 14 – 23 (– 25) × (6 –) 7 – 13 (– 14) µm, clavate to broadly clavate with 2 – 4 sterigmata. Cheilocystidia (11 –) 12 – 18 (– 19) × (6 –) 7 – 9 (– 10) μm, ovoid to obovoid, clavate, narrowly utriform to utriform. Pleurocystidia absent. Pileipellis epithelium consists of globose to subglobose, broadly ellipsoidal cells., olive wall color in water. Stipitipellis irregular 5.1 – 14.9 µm diam., hyphae parallel, septate with no modified terminal cells. Caulocystidia absent. Diagnosis: — Candolleomyces albogranulosus differs from its closely related species C. typhae by its plano-convex, umblicate pileus with light purple gray squamules more dense at center, dull reddish lamellulae, fusiform to oblong basidiospores with germ pore, clavate, spheropedunculate to utriform cheilocystidia. Type: — PAKISTAN. Punjab: Sahiwal, Chichawatni Plantation, (31.63818 ° N, 74.50407 ° E), 163 m a. s. l., on moist humus rich soil, August 06, 2019, Nadia Fatima, N- 186 A (holotype: LAH 38245!). GenBank: PP 973163 (nrITS), PP 973168 (nLSU) Description: — Pileus 13 – 15 mm in diam., plano – convex, becoming depressed at maturity, translucent striate, light purple gray (5 RP 7 / 1) to gray (N 5 / 0) covered with white granular (2.5 YR 5 / 1) squamules denser at the center becoming sparse towards margin. Lamellae adnate, distant, lamellulae in 1 - 2 tiers, dull reddish (10 R 6 / 3). Stipe 20 – 25 × 1 – 2 mm, flexuous, hollow, round, clavate at base, smooth, grayish white (N 8 / 0); Annulus absent. Odor and taste not recorded. Basidiospores [150 / 3 / 2], (6.2 –) 6.4 – 8.5. (– 8.7) × (3.6 –) 4 – 4.7 (– 5.1) μm, (avL × avW = 7.45 × 4.35 μm), Q = 1.31 – 2.08, avQ = 1.7 μm, ellipsoid to elongate, presence of small germ pore and apiculus, thick-walled (0.25 – 0.38 μm), smooth. Basidia (22.75 –) 25.67 – 29.89 (– 30.52) × (7.13 –) 7.36 – 8.78 (– 9.65) μm, clavate to broadly clavate, hyaline in KOH, moderately thick, smooth-walled, 2 – 4 sterigmata. Pileipellis irregular epithelium thin-walled, globose to sub-globose, broadly clavate, moderately thin-walled pileipellis cells.
