A small, annual, glabrous herb, erect, about 0.15 – 0.4 m tall. Stipules acute, 2 – 7 x 1 – 2 mm, striate, lanceolate, glabrous, margin ciliate. Petiole 1 – 3 mm long with a few hairs. Leaves unifoliolate, leaflets elliptic-oblong, obtuse, rounded at base and obtuse at the apex, 10 – 30 x 3 – 10 mm, margin ciliate, trichomes present on both surfaces; petioles 1 – 3 mm. Inflorescence a lax raceme, 30 – 70 mm long, with 5 – 10 flowers in distant pairs. Pairs of flowers subtended by three caducous, slightly ciliate and striate bracts, central or primary bract caudate, 3 – 4 x 1.5 – 2.0 mm, two lateral or secondary bracts obtuse 1.5 – 2.5 x 0.5 – 1.5 mm. Pedicels pubescent c. 1 – 2 mm long. Calyx 2.5 – 5.0 mm long, tube 0.7 – 1.0 mm long, lobes imbricate, ciliate, the upper clearly bifid. Corolla glabrous, pink with a tinge of yellow. Standard petal emarginate or rounded, claw c. 0.7 mm long; blade obovate, 3 – 5 x 2 – 5 mm. Wing petals with claw 0.5 – 1.0 mm, blade oblong 2 – 4 x 0.5 – 0.7 mm. Keel petals with claw 0.5 – 0.8, blade boat-shaped and folded, 2.5 – 3.0 x 1.5 – 1.8 mm. Stamens diadelphous (9 + 1), glabrous, 2.0 – 2.5 mm long, free part of filaments 0.1 – 0.5 mm long, free stamen 1.5 – 2.0 mm long. Ovary 2.0 – 2.5 mm long, glabrous, style 1.0 – 1.5 mm long glabrous, Pods exserted from the calyx, glabrous, 3 – 7 x 1.0 – 1.5 mm, 2 – 6 articles, moniliform, constricted between the articles, pod surface foveo-rugulate (Fig. 2).
