667E6849FF89E73BFF45915E04C06174.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. This species is morphologically similar to Bucculatrix tsurubamella Kobayashi et al., 2010, but differs in having a single band-like signum centrally located in the corpus bursae of female genitalia, unlike B. tsurubamella, which has a membranous structure in this region. Furthermore, this new species is distinguished by the upper part of the corpus bursae, which is slightly folded and has multiple longitudinal rows of signa arranged in parallel. This set of features clearly differentiates it from B. tsurubamella.	en	Oh, Jae-In, Lee, Ji-Young, Kim, Sang-Yoon, Jeong, June-Hyeok, Song, Young-Gwang, Byun, Bong-Kyu (2024): Discovery of Bucculatrix koreana sp. nov. and newly recorded Bucculatrix duanwuia (Lepidoptera: Bucculatricidae) in Korea. Head: White and composed of densely covered with tufts of scales; frons white; antennae white, with pale orange rings, extending approximately 3 / 5 of the forewing length; eye caps white, mixed with orange scales. Thorax: Creamy white, mixed with pale brown scales; tegulae covered with creamy white scales. Legs fuscous and white; fore coxa fuscous with long and greyish black scales apically; hind coxa pale ochreous with blackish spots apically. Forewing ground colour fuscous white with several orange mixed with black spots basally, at 1 / 3, 2 / 3 and along the apical margin; a broken orange stripe in the central area; a second orange stripe extends from two-thirds of the length of the costa; apex covered with black scales, scattered with pale orange spots; cilia white, extending along the wing margins. Hindwings white and lanceolate, with a silky sheen. Abdomen: Grey with a yellowish hue. Male genitalia. Unknown. Female genitalia (Fig. 3 A). Papillae anales sclerotised, broadly oval, densely covered with short hairs uniformly distributed across the surface. Apophyses anteriores absent; apophyses posteriores slender and elongated. Ostium bursae broad and funnel-shaped, with margins strongly sclerotized and distinctly visible; antrum elongated and triangular. Ductus bursae membranous, slender, weakly sclerotized, gradually widening near the opening, and gradually narrowing toward the corpus bursae. Corpus bursae elongated, oval-shaped, membranous, with a single row of comb-like signum structures running along with a centrally positioned band. Ductus seminalis slender, originating near the junction of the ductus bursae and corpus bursae. DNA barcodes. This new species, Bucculatrix koreana sp. nov., has a genetic distance of 6 % from B. tsurubamella, showing a distinct genetic divergence from neighbouring species in Korea. The sequence of B. koreana sp. nov. has been registered in NCBI (Accession number: PQ 304121).	en	Oh, Jae-In, Lee, Ji-Young, Kim, Sang-Yoon, Jeong, June-Hyeok, Song, Young-Gwang, Byun, Bong-Kyu (2024): Discovery of Bucculatrix koreana sp. nov. and newly recorded Bucculatrix duanwuia (Lepidoptera: Bucculatricidae) in Korea. Head white with mixed brown scales; labial palpus small and smooth; antennae white, mixed with brown; segments black. Thorax and abdomen white; fore- and midlegs yellow with black spots on the dorsal side; hindlegs yellow with beige stripes dorsally. Forewing ground colour white with mixed pale orange scales; a pale yellow stripe extending from the base towards the central dorsal yellow patch; the first stripe extending from 1 / 3 of the wing base towards the center; a yellow stripe running along the costal margin up to the apex, bordered by black; apex mixed with yellow scales and scattered with black scales; cilia greyish-white, scattered with black scales along the outer margin. Hindwings and cilia greyish-white. Male genitalia (Fig. 3 B). Tegumen distinctly sclerotised laterally, with projections bearing spines on both sides. Vinculum strongly sclerotised, with the anterior median part concave. Ventral plate of the juxta trapezoidal overall, strongly sclerotised. Valva strongly sclerotised, thickened dorsally, with the basal 2 / 3 nearly of equal width, terminal 1 / 3 with straight dorsal and ventral margins, outer margin triangular; the apex bears short serrate bristles. Aedeagus about twice the length of the valva, thickened at the base, gradually narrowing toward the tip, with an S-shaped curve before the apex, apical hook about 1 / 7 of the aedeagus length.
