Ocellar setae I and II absent; 5 pairs of postocular setae present. Antennae 8 - segmented, segment I without dorso-apical setae, sense cone on antennal segment III simple or forked, IV with forked sense cone. Pronotum with discal setae strong, posteromarginal long or short, 0 – 2 pairs of posteroangular setae. Prosternal ferna undivided. Meso- and metanotum sculptured with reticles, CPS present. Mesosternal furca with spinula, sometimes spinula weak, metasternal furca absent. Fore wing first vein setae discontinuous, second vein setae scattered; posteromarginal cilia wavy; clavus with 4 – 5 veinal setae and 1 discal seta. Abdominal tergites without ctenidia but with narrowly lobate craspeda; tergite VIII with complete posteromarginal comb; tergite IX with two pairs of CPS. Sternite VIII with all three pairs of setae situated in front of posterior margin. Male. Similar to female, abdominal tergite VIII with posteromarginal comb of long setae, sternites V – VII each with a small transverse pore plate, all setae on VIII situated in front of posterior margin. Body entirely blackish brown (Fig. 1); legs brown except for apex of tibiae and tarsi yellow; antennal segments I – II brown, III – IV yellow; V with basal half yellow and apex brown, VI – VIII entirely brown (Fig. 9); fore wings brown with white sub-basal area, clavus brown with a pale area (Fig. 11). Body setae clear. Head wider than long, sculptured with strong reticulations, ocellar hump slightly elevated (Fig. 3); posterior dorsum smooth in anterior half and with transverse reticles on basal half; cheeks with a small swelling behind eyes and a pair of setae arise from the swelling. Ocellar setae I and II absent, III situated outside the ocellar triangle, five pairs of postocular setae well-developed; mouth cone broadly rounded; maxillary palps 3 - segmented. Compound eyes with 4 – 6 pigmented facets ventrally. Antennal segment I without dorso-apical setae, III and IV pedicellate, III with a simple sense cone and IV with the sense cone forked (Fig. 9). Pronotum round, distinctly sculptured with transverse reticulations; two pairs of posteroangular setae, inner setae slightly shorter than the outer one, about 30 discal setae and three pairs of posteromarginal setae, all setae lanceolated (Fig. 3). Mesonotum sculptured with strong reticulations, median pair of setae anterior to submedian setae pair, anterior pair of CPS present. Metanotum reticulated medially and striae laterally, median pair of setae lanceolate and situated behind the anterior margin, CPS present (Fig. 4). Prosternal ferna undivided, narrow at middle; basantra without setae; mesosternal endofurca with spinula (sometimes weak), metasternal endofurca without spinula (Fig. 12). Fore wing first vein with 5 – 7 basal setae, 1 median and 2 distal setae, second vein with 7 – 8 scattered setae; posterior fringe cilia wavy and apex acute; clavus with 4 – 5 veinal setae and one discal seta (Fig. 11). Tarsi 2 - segmented. Abdominal tergites without ctenidia and with a narrowly lobate craspeda (Fig. 5); tergite I completely sculptured with transverse anastomosing striae; tergites II – VIII with reticulate sculpture laterally, but smooth medially, submedian setae slightly longer than median setae (Fig. 5); VIII with posteromarginal comb completely, IX with two pair of CPS, X with incomplete median split (Fig. 7); sternites without craspeda and discal setae, sternite II with 2 pairs posteromarginal setae, III – VII with 3 pairs of posteromarginal setae, VII with S 1 – S 3 setae situated in front of the posterior margin (Fig. 6). Measurements (holotype female in microns): Body length 987. Head, length 68; width 124. Pronotum, length 118; width 163; posteroangular setae length, inner 16, outer 18. Fore wing length 617. Antennal segments I – VIII length 19, 35, 43, 41, 33, 38, 5, 9. Male macroptera. Similar to but smaller than female (Fig. 2). Abdominal tergite VIII with posteromarginal comb of long setae (Fig. 8), sternites V – VII each with a small transverse pore plate, without discal setae, S 1 – S 3 setae on VIII situated in front of posterior margin (Fig. 10). Measurements (paratype male in microns): Body length 784. Head, length 65; width 117. Pronotum, length 105; width 144; posteroangular setae length, inner 14, outer 16. Fore wing length 452. Antennal segments I – VIII length 15, 30, 33, 35, 32, 33, 5, 7. Specimens examined. Holotype female, CHINA, Yunnan Province, Bubeng Town (21 ° 55 ′ 39 ′′ N, 101 ° 16 ′ 55 ′′ E), from Lithocarpus grandifolius [Fagaceae], 24. iii. 2021, Liu Zhuo-cheng.
