The taxon  Fulgoromorpha is maintained at a suborder level and Evans’ proposed name, widely accepted and used now is conserved. This higher taxon was therefore proposed for the first time by Spinola, but its name should follow ICZN Art. 23.3 of Principle of Priority and formed on Delphacida Leach, 1815. </p>
