Prout. Paratype (photo G. Ronkay from coll. BMNH); 1 male, S. Sulawesi (Celebes) Puncak, Paolo, 2˚33ʹS 120˚05ʹEL, i.1997, 650 – 1300 m. leg. local collector, coll. Dr. R. Brehlin, genit. prep. 7320 (coll. GB); 1 male, C. Sulawesi, vic. Mamasa, 2˚57ʹS 119˚24ʹE, 1500 m, 29–30.x.1995 leg. Gala (coll. ZFMK).
Diagnosis. Adult (Figs. 17–20). Wingspan 47–58 mm. We identified two examined specimens from Sulawesi (Figs. 19, 20) as T. sericea hawkeri by comparison with photograph of the paratype (Fig. 17). The subspecies hawkeri differs from the nominate by the brown-reddish color of body and forewing and by the more uniformly yellow color of hindwing, without blackish basal area and with reduced terminal band. The male genitalia of the specimen from Sulawesi (Fig. 49) does not differ from Indian specimen (Fig. 46).
Distribution and biology. Indonesia: Sulawesi, Reg. Sulawesi Selatan, Molukkes, Prov. Maluku, Buru, Kako Tagalago, Gamoe Mrapat.
