Spectamen flavum Herbert, 1987c: 346, figs 120d, 126–130. Type loc.: off Mbashe River, Transkei (32°23.6ʹS: 28°59.2ʹE), 295–350 m; holotype in NMSA (C9593/T3444).

Distribution. Central KwaZulu-Natal (off Durban) to E. Cape (off Kei River); 95–420 m (living specimens the same).
