— Bolama (BOL) (Janson 1907 sub Smaragdesthes smaragdima Voet v. blanda Burm.);

— Bubaque (BOL) (Brivio 1958 sub Smaragdesthes africana blanda Burm.).

Material examined: none.

Remarks. A subspecies restricted to the northern most tropical countries of West Africa (Beinhundner 2017b; Schoolmeesters 2019).The records of the nominal subspecies and C. africana blanda for the same locality (Bubaque) in Guinea-Bissau by Brivio (1958) should be considered with some doubt.
