3.1. Phortica (Ashima) nigrifoliiseta species subgroup, new
Diagnosis. Setae on and/or near ventral margin of epandrium denser than those on other portions (ch.32-1; Fig. 8G); aedeagal, outer membrane ornamented with somewhat irregular, minute spinules (ch.56-3; Fig. 8H).
Shared characters. Dorsomedial, tentorial apodeme <3/5 basal, parallel portion of dorsolateral, tentorial apodeme (ch.1-1). Longest, dorsal branch of arista shorter than longest seta on pedicel; apical, leaf-like expansion heart-shaped, as broad as long, apically notched (Fig. 8A). Palpus with hollow-shaped sense organ (ch.9-2). Abdominal sternite III wider than long (ch.22-1; Fig. 8E), without dense setulae on medial surface (ch.26-0; Fig. 8E). Hypandrium symmetric (ch.40-0; Fig. 8J). Pregonite (Fig. 8I) partly strongly sclerotized (ch.43-0), with basal extension nearly rectangular to main body, apically narrowing (ch.49-1) and sensilla on submedial and basal portions (ch.52,53-1); apical knob with pointed barbule (ch.46,47-0). Sclerotized, posterior postgonites on aedeagal sheath medially separated from each other (ch.66-0).
