Phortica (Ashima) zhangyuanae Gong, Zhu & Chen, 2018: 442 .

Diagnosis. Posterior postgonite apically bifid, and anterior one composed of basal, thick, short trifurcation and large, thin, V-shaped sclerite (“Figs 34, 35” in Gong et al. 2018).

Supplementary description. Supracervical setae 22–23. Dorsomedial, tentorial apodeme slightly longer than 1/2 basal, parallel portion of dorsolateral, tentorial apodeme. Arista with arb = 0–3/0; longest, dorsal branch longer than longest seta on pedicel; apical, leaf-like expansion narrower than long, apically roundish. Cibarial, medial sensilla approximately 6 per side; posterior sensilla approximately 5 per side. All tarsi entirely yellow. Pregonite nearly entirely sclerotized (ch.43-1), only angulated in ventrosubapical portion of apical knob (ch.46-1), and coarsely serrated on ventrodistal portion (ch.50-1).

The antisymmetry is observed in the phallic organs: in A-type, the posterior postgonite is present on the right side, the anterior one on the left side, and left arm of hypandrium more stretched out; but in B-type, vice versa (“Fig. 35” in Gong et al. 2018).
