Distribution. China (Yunnan), Thailand *.
Remarks. This species is closely related to the foregoing species, P. afoliolata, as having been misidentified to be the latter by Chen et al. (2005b). However, Cheng et al. (2008) found two distinct forms included in the paratypes of P. afoliolata and described one of them as a new species, i.e. P. xishuangbanna . These two species can be clearly distinguished from each other by the diagnoses revised in this study.
