Platypedia aperta Van Duzee, 1915 new record.

The SDMC has specimens from Baja California Norte, 12.2 km South of Santa Tomas, 24–V–1973. The CASC has specimens from Baja California Norte, San Vicente, 11–V–1938.

The species has previously been reported from California (Metcalf 1963c).
