Fidicinoides compostela Davis, 1934 comb. n.

The species is here assigned to Fidicinoides based on the generic characters outlined by Boulard & Martinelli (1996), i.e. the small lateral metascutellar plates, the small dorso-lateral opening to the timbal chamber, and the eyes not exceeding the breadth of the suprahumeral lobes of the pronotum.

The species is only known from Mexico (Metcalf 1963a). It is described from Nayarit (Davis 1934) and the author has identified specimens from Colima.
