On UV light at night.). Brazil: Cartwright 1948: 143 (as Pleurophorus longulus). Other: Cartwright 1948: 143, 145 (Argentina, Bolivia, Honduras, Uruguay, U.S.A. - as Pleurophorus longulus; Colombia - as Pleurophorus gregalis); Gordon and Pittino 1992: 268 (none - as P. longulus; none - as P. gregalis).

Note. We have been unable to distinguish between specimens identified by different experts as, respec- tively, Platytomus longulus and P. gregalis . According to Skelley (P. Skelley, pers. comm. 2010), the genus Platytomus needs to be revised.
