3. Rhogas aztecus Cameron 1905
(Fig. 3)
Current combination. Aleiodes aztecus (Cameron, 1905) ( Braconidae: Rogadinae); Valerio (2006).
Material examined. Rhogas aztecus ♂ holotype, NHMUK, Mexico: ‘Type’; ‘Cameron Coll. 1906-138.’; ‘ Rhogas aztecus Cam. Type Mexico’; ‘ B.M.Type Hym. 3c.2294 ’; ‘ NHMUK010635173 ’.
Comments. Cameron (1905) did not mention the type locality of this species and neither Shenefelt (1975) nor Yu et al. (2016) list a type depository. A male specimen (NHMUK010635173), matching Cameron’s description and labelled as ‘ Rhogas aztecus Cam Type Mexico’ in Cameron’s handwriting, is in NHMUK. This has now been given the type number 3c.2294. Valerio (2006) transferred Rhogas aztecus to Aleiodes Wesmael, where it seems to be close to A. atricornis (Cresson 1872) in the Aleiodes gasterator species group, according to the identification key by Marsh & Shaw (2001).
